His Majesty leaves for Russia
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left Oman today heading to the Russian Federation on a two-day state visit.
During the visit, His Majesty will meet with President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation.
The visit, made in response to an invitation by the Russian President, underlines the advanced relations between Oman and Russia.
His Majesty was seen off at the Royal Airport by Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers; Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Special Representative of the Sultan; Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council; Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council; Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council; Nasr bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs; Dr Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shibaniyah, Minister of Education; Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers; Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsen Al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs; Lieutenant General Said bin Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service; Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces; Major General Matar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman; Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman; Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman; and Major General Musallam bin Mohammed Taman Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force.
Accompanying His Majesty on his visit is a high level official delegation comprising: Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court; Lieutenant General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Special Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; Jamal bin Hassan Al Moosawi, Secretary General of the National Museum; and Hamood bin Salim bin Abdullah Altowaiya, Oman’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation.
