His Majesty leaves for official visit to Iran

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left here today for the Islamic Republic of Iran on an official two-day visit, during which he will meet the Iranian President Dr Ebrahim Raisi.

The visit, made in response to an invitation by the Iranian President, underscores the well-developed relations between the two countries.

His Majesty the Sultan was seen off at the Royal Airport by: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers; His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; His Highness Sayyid Taimour bin Asa’ad Al Said, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman; Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council; Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council; Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council; Nasr bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs; Dr Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs; Lieutenant General Said bin Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service; Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology; Dr Mohammed bin Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs; Major General Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman; Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman and Major General Musallam bin Mohammed bin Taman Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force.

During the visit, His Majesty will be accompanied by a high-ranking official delegation comprising His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office;  Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; Engineer Salem bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Ra’eesi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces;  Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Oman's Ambassador at large and Ibrahim bin Ahmed Al Muaini, Ambassador of Oman to Iran.
