His Majesty leaves Belgium
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left the Kingdom of Belgium this evening, concluding a three day state visit.
His Majesty was seen off at Brussels Military Airport by Vice Admiral Jan De Beurme, representing King Philippe, the King of the Belgians; Tinne Van der Straeten, Minister of Energy and Rua Issa Ashraf Alzadjali, Oman's Ambassador to Belgium, as well as Belgian officials and staff from the Omani embassy in Belgium.
Upon his departure, His Majesty sent a message of thanks to King Philippe and his spouse Queen Mathilde, expressing his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality.
His Majesty praised the outcomes of his meeting with the King, as an opportunity to discuss the friendly relations between the two countries and how to boost them to serve interests of the Omani and Belgian peoples.
His Majesty wished the King and the Queen good health, well-being and success in achieving further the aspirations to progress and prosperity of the Belgian people.
During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied by a high-ranking official delegation that comprised Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Royal Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Engineer Salem bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; and Ambassador Rua Issa Ashraf Alzadjali, Oman's Ambassador to Belgium.
