His Majesty inaugurates Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Services
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, the Supreme Commander, presided over the official inauguration of the Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Services in Muscat.
On arrival, His Majesty was received by His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs and Chairman of the Medical City Board for Military and Security Services, along with Engineer Uday bin Hilal Al Maawali, Head of the Medical City, and several Ministers and leaders who are Board members.
At the hospital, Engineer Al Maawali gave a speech before His Majesty viewed a video presentation tracing the history of the medical sector and Omani doctors' contributions over the centuries, culminating in the official opening of this significant national achievement for Oman's ongoing renaissance.
His Majesty formally inaugurated the hospital with his royal blessing. Another detailed video followed showcasing the hospital’s facilities, specialised departments and healthcare standards, emphasising the hospital's added value to Oman's healthcare sector.
His Majesty toured various departments and wings of the hospital, receiving a brief overview of its facilities, designed and built to the highest standards, providing integrated medical services in line with the Medical City’s vision and Oman Vision 2040 goals.
His Majesty inscribed a commemorative message marking his visit and the hospital's official inauguration. He then met with the Medical City’s assistant heads, directors-general of its departments and the project engineers.
His Majesty then departed.
Several Ministers, leaders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and heads of military and security organisations, along with a number of distinguished officials, accompanied His Majesty at the inauguration ceremony.
