His Majesty departs from Oman for Belgium
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left Oman today heading to the Kingdom of Belgium on a three-day state visit, during which he will meet King Philippe, King of the Belgians.
The visit is made in response to an invitation from the King of the Belgians. It underlines the advanced relations between Oman and Belgium.
His Majesty was seen off at the Royal Airport by: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers; His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council; Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Interior Minister; Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council; Nasr bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs; Dr Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shibaniyah, Minister of Education; Sheikh Al Fadl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers; Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsin Al Shraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs; Lieutenant General Said bin Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service; Dr Mohammed bin Saeed Al Maamari, Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs; Dr Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health; Major General Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman; Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman; Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman; and Major General Musallam bin Mohammed Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force.
His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied during the visit by a high-ranking official delegation comprising: Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Royal Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Engineer Salem bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; and Ambassador Rua Issa Ashraf Alzadjali, Oman's Ambassador to Belgium.
