His Majesty departs for Jordan
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said left Muscat today heading to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on a two-day state visit during which he will meet King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan.
The visit, made in response to an invitation by King Abdullah, will promote the fraternal ties between the two countries and their peoples.
His Majesty was bid farewell at the Private Royal Airport by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs; His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and the Special Representative of His Majesty; His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council; Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council; Sayyed Muhammad bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council; Dr Madiha bint Ahmed bin Nasser Al Shibaniyah, Education Minister; Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal bin Said Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Nasr bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of Royal Court Affairs; Sheikh Al Fadhl bin Mohammed Al Harthy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers; Lieutenant General Hassan bin Mohsen Al Shariqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs; Lieutenant General Saeed bin Ali Al Hilali, Head of the Internal Security Service; Dr Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health; Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces; Major General Matar bin Salem Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman; Air Vice Marshall Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman; Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman; and Major General Musallam bin Muhammad bin Taman Jaaboub, Commander of the Sultan’s Special Force.
During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied by a high-ranking official delegation comprising His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority and Oman's Ambassador to Jordan, Fahad Abdul Rahman Alojaili.
