His Majesty arrives in the Republic of India
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has arrived in the Republic of India on a three-day state visit. His Majesty will meet President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
His Majesty was received upon his arrival in the Indian capital, New Delhi, by Shri V. Muraleedharan, Minister of State for External Affairs (Head of the Mission of Honour); Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to Oman; Issa Saleh Abdullah Saleh Al Shibani, Ambassador of Oman to India; and a number of Indian officials and members of Oman’s Embassy in New Delhi.
A student troupe performed an artistic performance from Indian folklore as part of the welcome ceremony.
During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied by a high-ranking delegation comprising His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Albusaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA); Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; Engineer Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; Pankaj Khimji, Advisor for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large at the Foreign Ministry; and Issa Saleh Al Shibani, Ambassador of Oman to India.
