His Majesty arrives in Belgium

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in the Kingdom of Belgium this evening, at the start of a three day state visit.

When the Royal Airplane entered Belgian airspace, it was escorted by two Belgian military aircraft, in a show of welcome for His Majesty.

Upon the arrival of His Majesty at Brussels Military Airport, His Majesty was received by Tinne Van der Straeten, Minister of Energy.

His Majesty was also welcomed by Rua Issa Ashraf Alzadjali, Oman's Ambassador to Belgium and staff from the Omani Embassy in  Belgium.

His Majesty then passed between two rows of the Belgian Royal Guard of Honour before shaking hands with senior Belgian officials and military personnel who welcomed him and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay.

The motorcade of His Majesty, surrounded by a group of motorcycle outriders, then left Brussels Military Airport heading to the Castle of Laeken.
