His Majesty and the Emir of Kuwait hold discussion session
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Al Said and Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait held an official session of discussions at Bayan Palace in the capital, Kuwait City.
The Emir began the talks by expressing his deep welcome for the visit of His Majesty as a dear guest in the State of Kuwait wishing His Majesty and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay.
His Majesty expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Emir for the warm reception and hospitality he had received.
During the session, the deep-rooted historical fraternal relations between the two countries were reviewed in addition to ways of advancing existing partnerships in various sectors. Views on regional and international issues were also exchanged.
The Omani representatives were: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority; Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Dr Saleh Amer Alkharusi, Oman's Ambassador to Kuwait.
On the Kuwaiti side, the session was attended by Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Prime Minister; Sheikh Sabah Khalid Hamad Al Sabah (Head of the Mission of Honour); Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Minister of Interior; Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Mubarak Al Sabah, Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs; Sherida Abdullah Saad Al Maousherji, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Council of Ministers Affairs; Imad Mohammad Al Atiqi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil; Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ahmad Fahad Al Fahad, Undersecretary of the Amiri Diwan; Dr Mohammed Nassir Al Hajri, Kuwait's Ambassador to Oman, senior Kuwaiti officials and members of the Omani Embassy in Kuwait.
