His Majesty and Tanzanian President hold official talks

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held an official session of talks with President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania at the Al Alam Palace this evening.

The talks reviewed the strong bilateral relations binding the two countries and ways of elevating them towards broader horizons to realise the aspirations of the Omani and Tanzanian peoples. The two leaders also exchanged views on various matters of common interest.

The official session of talks was attended from the Omani side by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers; His Highness Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan; His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Interior; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education; Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA); Dr Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (Head of the Mission of Honour) and Saud bin Hilal Al Shidhani, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Republic of Tanzania.

The talks were attended from the Tanzanian side by: January Yusuf Makamba, Minister of Energy; Dr Pindi Chana, Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism; Dr Khalid Salum Mohamed, Minister of Works, Transport and Communications; Ambassador Mbarouk Nassoro Mbarouk, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation; Fatma Rajab, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation; Abdallah Abasi Kilima, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Sultanate of Oman and various Tanzanian officials.
