His Majesty and Belgian Prime Minister hold talks
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Alexander De Croo, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium, held an official session of talks at the Prime Minister’s Office.
The session discussed economic and investment cooperation and how to promote that cooperation to serve the interests of both countries. The meeting also saw an exchange of views on international developments and global changes, and a review of investment opportunities in various sectors.
The session was attended from the Oman by His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Royal Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Engineer Salem bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; and Ambassador Rua Issa Ashraf Alzadjali, Oman's Ambassador to Belgium.
The session was attended from Belgium by Tinne Van der Straeten, Minister of Energy; Pascal Gregoire, Ambassador of Belgium to Oman; Theodora Gentzis, President of the Board of the Belgian Federal Public Service of Foreign Affairs; Tom Neijens, Diplomatic Adviser to the Prime Minister; Francis Corneille, Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Geert Muylle, Ambassador and Special Envoy for Energy Security and Critical Raw Materials at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
