His Majesty accepts credentials of ambassadors

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today received one by one at Al Barakah Palace, the credentials of ambassadors of Arab and friendly countries to the Sultanate of Oman.

His Majesty the Sultan accepted the credentials of the following ambassadors: Dr Idris Maya, Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Sultanate of Oman;

Salah Al Din Al Hajj Mohammed Al Kando, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the Sultanate of Oman;

Mohammed Nazmul Islam, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Sultanate of Oman;

Dornath Aryal, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to the Sultanate of Oman;

Amina Ali Abdullah, Ambassador the Republic of Kenya to the Sultanate of Oman;

Barnabas Fodor, Ambassador of Hungary to the Sultanate of Oman;

Mohammed Nasser Madhi Al Hajri, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Sultanate of Oman;

Ahmed Lebbe Sabarullah Khan, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Sultanate of Oman;

and Florin Marius Tacu, Ambassador of Romania to the Sultanate of Oman.

During side meetings with His Majesty, the ambassadors conveyed the greetings and wishes of the leaders of their countries to His Majesty the Sultan for good health, happiness and long life and to the Omani people, continued progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty. They expressed their honour and great happiness at presenting their credentials to His Majesty. They also affirmed that they would do their utmost to advance their countries' relations with the Sultanate of Oman to serve the common interests of the Omani people and the peoples of their countries.

His Majesty welcomed the ambassadors, thanking the leaders of their countries for their greetings and good wishes, assuring them that they will receive all support from His Majesty, the government and the Omani people in the performance of their work.

The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court, the Foreign Minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Guard of Oman, the Chief of Royal Protocol and the military escorts of His Majesty the Sultan.
