Oman and Uzbekistan review cooperation
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received today in Muscat, Bakhtiyor Saidov, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and his accompanying delegation, during their official visit to the Sultanate.
The two delegations held political consultations during which they reviewed the long standing relations between the two friendly countries and affirmed their mutual commitment to continue developing bilateral cooperation in various diplomatic, economic, cultural and scientific fields.
The Ministers also exchanged views on developments in the Arab-Israeli conflict, particularly concerning the Palestinian issue and the aggressive war conducted by Israeli occupation forces. They also discussed several other regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Following the session, the Ministers signed an agreement on the mutual exemption of visas between the two countries for diplomatic, special and service passports.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Sheikh Humaid Almaani, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Global Affairs Department; Abdusalam Khatamov, Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Oman; along with officials from Oman and Uzbekistan.
