His Majesty and Egyptian President hold official talks
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a session of official talks with President Abdul Fattah El Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt at Al Alam Palace this evening.
The session reviewed the march of the distinguished relations binding Oman and Egypt. It also explored areas of bilateral cooperation and ways of raising them towards broader horizons to realise the aspirations of the Omani and Egyptian peoples. During the session, the two leaders exchanged views on various issues of common interest, in light of the developments at the Arab and international arenas.
The official session of talks was attended from the Omani side by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers; His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Interior; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance (Head of the Mission of Honour); Sayyid Dr Sultan bin Yarub Al Busaidi, Advisor at the Private Office and Abdullah bin Nassir Al Rahbi, Ambassador of Oman to Egypt and its Permanent Delegate to the Arab League.
From the Egyptian side the talks were attended by Sameh Shoukry, Foreign Minister; Major General Ahmed Mohammed Ali, Chief of the President's Office; Dr Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development; Major General Abbas Kamel, Chief of the Intelligence Service; Khalid Radi, Egypt's Ambassador to Oman and Ambassador Bassam Radi, the President's Spokesman.
