Oman Foreign Minister meets Belgian Foreign Minister
Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met this evening with Sophie Willems, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Belgium, who is visiting the Sultanate of Oman as part of the delegation accompanying His Majesty King Philippe, King of the Belgians.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation and ways to develop them further based on the long standing links and the growing economic partnership between the two friendly countries, especially in the sectors of renewable and clean energy, mining, logistics and ports.
They expressed support and encouragement for communication and cooperation at the level of the private sector for both countries, the development of trade and investment relations, the exchange of experience, scientific research and innovation, as well as cooperation in the fields of environment, public health and food security.
On the political level, the two sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern and expressed their shared aspiration to consolidate the pillars of security, stability and peace and to continue their support for dialogue and resolving issues by peaceful means in the region and the world.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Minister's Office Department; Dominique Minor, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Sultanate of Oman and a number of officials from both sides.
