Germany: Embassy issues Schengen visa alert

The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Germany has issued an alert to Omani visitors to the European Union.

The alert warns travellers that the European Union requires Schengen visa holders to arrive in the European Union through the country that issued the visa.

Travellers who try to enter Germany as their first destination in the EU, with a visa issued by another European country are likely to be refused entry by the the German authorities and returned to the country they travelled from.
