New York: Oman's Permanent Representative to UN presents credentials
Ambassador Omar Said Omar Alkathiri presented his credentials as the Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations to the UN Secretary General at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations, during the presentation ceremony.
The Ambassador praised the prominent role played by the United Nations in promoting international peace and security, and achieving the goals of sustainable development. He stressed Oman's readiness to cooperate closely with the organisation on international and regional issues.
The Secretary General praised Oman's keenness to support dialogue to resolve international issues, appreciating the wise policy pursued by the Sultanate and its support for all efforts towards peace and stability.
