Ministry displays services at First Hajj and Umrah Exhibition
The Foreign Ministry participated in the First Hajj and Umrah Exhibition, organised by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
At its stand, the Ministry presented key consular services offered by the Sultanate of Oman’s missions abroad.
These include the emergency travel document service “Jawaz Al Murur”, as well as digital solutions that enhance the experience of Omani citizens, travellers and visitors.
A key feature highlighted was the official Foreign Ministry mobile application, which acts as a travel companion for Omanis abroad and visitors to the Sultanate.
The app offers a range of services and information that enable users to travel safely and easily contact the nearest Omani diplomatic mission when needed.
It also allows Omani citizens to register with embassies in countries they visit, ensuring prompt support when necessary. The app sends alerts about travel issues, provides useful advice, guidance and contact channels, and is directly linked to the Ministry’s official website.
The first Hajj and Umrah Exhibition brought together various entities involved in the Hajj and Umrah sectors from within the Sultanate of Oman and abroad.
It aimed to strengthen partnerships between service providers and relevant institutions supporting pilgrims and to improve the services offered to them.
The exhibition included training workshops, awareness lectures, along with a variety of cultural programmes aimed at enriching religious knowledge and promoting community awareness, as part of a comprehensive vision to develop the Hajj and Umrah sector.
