Foreign Minister receives phone call from UK Foreign Secretary

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, received a phone call from James Cleverly, Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom.

During the call the two Ministers expressed their concern about the current escalation in violence between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

They discussed the need for the international community to fulfil its responsibilities towards this real and dangerous problem and to intervene immediately to stop the ongoing escalation and its repercussions, which threaten still further violence.

During the call, Sayyid Badr spoke of the importance and the necessity of achieving the two-state solution by resuming the peace process and ending the illegal Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories in accordance with international law.
