Foreign Minister receives Kuwaiti Foreign Minister

Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman, received Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al Jaber Al Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, who is currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman to participate in the meeting of the Joint Ministerial Council between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the European Union countries.

The meeting discussed  the excellent relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in political, economic and cultural fields.

During the meeting, the Ministers agreed on the importance of regulating maritime navigation in Khor Abdullah and respecting international agreements and United Nations resolutions, especially Security Council Resolution No. 833 regarding the demarcation of the Kuwaiti-Iraqi border.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed Almaskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Department for the Region and Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and a number of Kuwaiti and Omani officials.
