Foreign Minister receives Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, received in Muscat today Taro Honda, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan.

The two sides reviewed the friendly relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in cultural, economic, business, renewable energy and technology fields. They also reaffirmed the joint keenness of enhancing those relations towards broader horizons coinciding with the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Oman and Japan.

The two sides also exchanged views on several regional and international matters of common interest. They affirmed the continuation of consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries to promote cooperation and to contribute to achieving peace and stability in the region and the world at large.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Minister's Office Department and Jota Yamamoto, Japan's Ambassador to Oman and a number of officials from both sides.
