Foreign Minister receives Iraqi Foreign Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met this evening (September 19th) with Dr Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, on the sidelines of the current session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting discussed  a number of regional issues and recent developments, as well as priorities on the global stage.

The Ministers agreed on the importance of adhering to the rules of international law and the United Nations Charter and preserving the sovereignty and independence of states in support of regional and international security, peace and stability.

The Ministers also agreed on their keenness to develop the existing cooperation between Oman and Iraq.
