Foreign Minister receives Germany’s document joining Desalination Research Centre

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, today received Germany’s Accession Document announcing its membership of the Middle East Desalination Research Centre (MEDRC).

The document was handed over by Thomas Schneider, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Oman.

The MEDRC is an international organisation based in the Sultanate of Oman. It was established in 1996 as part of the Water Resources Working Group emanating from the multilateral Middle East peace process.

The meeting was attended by the Executive Director of the MEDRC, Ciarán Ó Cuinn; Ambassador Khaled Almuslahi, Head of the Minister's Office Department and Ambassador Dr Sulaiman Aljabri, Head of the Ministry's Legal Department.
