Foreign Minister phone call with PLO Committee Secretary General

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi received a phone call from Hussein Al Sheikh, Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation.

The call discussed recent developments in Arab efforts on the international stage supporting the Palestinian cause and its membership of the United Nations, It also condemned the recent decision by the Israeli Knesset to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Sayyid Badr and the Secretary General welcomed the Beijing Declaration aimed at achieving unity among Palestinian factions. They reaffirmed the unity of Palestinian decision-making and the sovereignty of the Palestinian state over its entire territory in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, according to the 1967 borders, and called for the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from these territories.
