Foreign Minister meets with UK Foreign Secretary
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met this morning with the Rt Hon. James Cleverly MP, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral cooperation and opportunities for new partnerships and investment, especially in the fields of renewable energy, technical education and innovation.
The two sides also expressed their interest in encouraging the development of joint startups and small and medium-sized enterprises. In this context, the two Ministers praised the work of the strategic advisory group and the joint working group, in promoting programmes between the two countries and exploring more opportunities for financial and economic partnership and cooperation.
On the political level, the Ministers also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and agreed to continue supporting all efforts to consolidate peace and enhance the foundations of security and stability.
The meeting was attended by Badr Almantheri, Oman's Ambassador to the United Kingdom and a number of officials from both sides.
