Foreign Minister meets UNRWA head

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met with Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA)  on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

They discussed the humanitarian challenges facing Palestinian refugees.

The Minister expressed Oman's ongoing support for efforts to improve refugees' conditions, stressing the importance of collective action and calling for the implementation of UN resolutions that demand the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza without any obstacles.

Sayyid Badralso appreciated UNRWA's efforts in providing essential assistance and services to Palestinian refugees.

Mr Lazzarini praised Oman's active role in supporting humanitarian causes and relief efforts, underscoring the importance of continuing these efforts and supporting the UN agency in fulfilling its responsibilities.
