Foreign Minister meets The Elders
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi met with senior members of The Elders, an independent group of global leaders, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
The attendants included Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary General of the United Nations, Juan Santos, former President of Colombia, Gro Harlem Brundtland, former Director General of the World Health Organisation, and Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and a former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
The meeting addressed a number of issues with a special focus on the components of decisive peacemaking based on the recognition of a Palestinian state and the establishment of a two state solution in order to achieve the will of the international community and justice, security and stability for all parties.
The meeting was attended by Maithaa Saif Majid Al Mahrouqi, Oman's Ambassador to Germany, and a number of officials from both sides.
