Foreign Minister meets Swedish and Croatian counterparts
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met today with Tobias Billström, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden and Gordan Grlić-Radman, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Croatia.
The meetings took place in the context of the Joint Ministerial Council meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union which is being held in Muscat.
During Sayyid Badr's meeting with Mr Billström, the Ministers discussed bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between Oman and Sweden.
Sayyid Badr stressed the importance of respecting religious beliefs and developing laws that prevent and criminalise inflammatory acts inciting hatred or discrimination against religious beliefs.
During Sayyid Badr's meeting with Mr Grlić-Radman, the Ministers reviewed relations between Oman and Croatia and discussed ways to strengthen and develop those relations in various fields. They also discussed regional and international developments of common interest.
The two meetings were attended by Ambassador Munther Almandhari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Europe Department, as well as officials from Sweden, Croatia and Oman.
