Foreign Minister meets Norwegian Foreign Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a meeting with Espen Barth Eide, Norway's Foreign Minister, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The two Ministers discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of renewable energy, environmental protection, sustainable development. They also discussed food, medicine and water security. They agreed on the importance of continuing close coordination in these areas within the framework of the growing relations between Oman and Norway.

Both Ministers also agreed on the need to support dialogue and multilateral international cooperation to find peaceful solutions to regional and global conflicts, reaffirming the principles and values enshrined in the United Nations Charter to achieve justice, peace, and prosperity for all.
