Foreign Minister meets French Foreign Minister

Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, met this evening with Jean-Yves Le Drian, French Minister of European and Foreign Affairs, who is on a visit to the Sultanate.

During the meeting, the two sides affirmed their common interests and their keenness to deepen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples. They reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, commercial, investment, scientific and cultural fields as well as in in the fields of security, defence and energy. They also discussed ways to develop cooperation to achieve further mutual benefits for both countries. and their people.

The two sides exchanged views on current regional and international issues of common interest, stressing the importance of dialogue and peaceful solutions to crises to achieve international peace and security.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Minister's Office and a number of Foreign Ministry officials, as well as H.E. Veronique Aulagnon, French Ambassador to Oman, and the delegation accompanying the visiting minister.
