Foreign Minister meets Algerian counterpart in New York

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a meeting with Ahmed Attaf, Foreign Minister of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations, with an emphasis on following up on the work of the Joint Oman-Algeria Committee and continuing cooperation across various vital fields to bring about further mutual benefits.

The Ministers also reviewed regional and international issues of mutual interest and agreed on the importance of maintaining coordination and consultation in international forums to support Arab and Islamic causes.

Both Ministers also affirmed their support for the role of the United Nations in promoting international peace and security.
