Foreign Minister in phone call with new UK Foreign Secretary
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a phone conversation with David Lammy, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom.
During the call, Sayyid Badr extended his congratulations to Mr Lammy on his appointment. He wished Mr Lammy success in his role and for further development and prosperity in the friendship and cooperation between Oman and the UK.
The Ministers also addressed the catastrophic humanitarian situation facing the Palestinian people in Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories. They discussed the need for international action to achieve an immediate ceasefire, deliver relief, release prisoners and detainees, and return to a comprehensive and lasting peace process, based on the two-state solution and recognition of an independent Palestinian state.
