Foreign Minister holds talks with Brazilian Foreign Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held political discussions with Mauro Vieira, Foreign Minister of the Federative Republic of Brazil, at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat.

During their meeting, the Ministers reviewed prospects for bilateral cooperation in various fields, building on the strong relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Brazil. The discussions also marked the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Oman and Brazil explored ways to enhance economic and trade partnerships, with a focus on mutual investment in renewable energy and agriculture. They agreed on the importance of leveraging the strategic locations of both countries to boost trade and increase joint investments.

The talks also covered regional and international developments, as well as joint efforts to promote security and stability, both in the region and globally.

Mauro Vieira praised the active role Oman plays in promoting regional stability, expressing Brazil's desire to strengthen these relations across all fields, contributing to shared development and prosperity. Sayyid Badr commended Brazil's efforts in addressing several global issues that benefit humanity as a whole.

The Ministers reaffirmed the importance of enhancing political dialogue and continuous coordination in international forums.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Alharthy, Undersecretary for Political Affairs, and a number of officials from Oman and Brazil.
