Foreign Minister holds meetings with Palestinian leaders

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, during his visit to the State of Palestine, held meetings with Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh; Hussein Al Sheikh, Chairman of the Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs and Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation, and Major General Majid Faraj, Head of the Palestinian Intelligence Service.

During the meetings, relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of enhancing them were discussed. There was also an exchange of views on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and Arab and international efforts in support of the Palestinian people in obtaining their legitimate rights by ending the occupation and achieving a just and comprehensive peace.

There was agreement on the importance of the need to make all efforts to resume the peace process to secure a real peace based on international law, enabling the brotherly Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, according to the principle of the two-state solution and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The meetings were attended by Khalid Al Muslahi, Undersecretary of Oman's Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs;  Sheikh Faisal bin Omar bin Saeed Almarhoon, Head of the Ministry's Arab Department and Salem bin Habib Alomairi, Chargé d'Affaires of Oman's Embassy in Ramallah, and the delegation accompanying Sayyid Badr.
