Foreign Minister holds call with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan
Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi made a telephone call with Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The Minister expressed his sincere condolences to his Pakistani counterpart following the death of four members of the Pakistani community in a shooting incident near a mosque in the Wadi Al-Kabir area.
The Pakistani Minister also offered his country's sincere condolences on the death of a security man in the shooting incident, praising the efforts made by the security authorities and health care institutions in Oman to contain this tragic incident.
The two ministers stressed the importance of promoting the values of peaceful coexistence among different peoples and rejecting extremist ideas that call for division. They stressed the importance of joint action to establish the values of peace and respect.
During the call, the Ministers exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and stressed the necessity of joint action, multilateral cooperation and pursuing dialogue as a way to reach just solutions to various challenges and conflicts based on respect and application of the rules of international law and the United Nations Charter.
