Foreign Minister heads Oman delegation at Arab League

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi headed the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman to a regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, at the League's headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

The 160th Ministerial Session of the Council was chaired by Nasser Bourita, Foreign Minister of Morocco.

The meeting discussed the process of joint Arab action in various political, economic and cultural fields. The ministers also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.

Speaking after the meeting Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr said there had been positive consultations and constructive discussion of issues related to security, peace and stability in the region.

He added the meeting had also discussed cooperation and development and ways to support Arab initiatives and progress made as well as developing relations with friendly countries and regional groupings.
