Foreign Minister discusses Palestine with Slovenian Foreign Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, held a phone conversation with  Tanja Fajon, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.

The two Ministers discussed the repercussions of the continued Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the growing international pressure for a ceasefire and lifting the siege on Gaza in order to ensure the flow of relief and humanitarian materials to the population.

They agreed on the necessity of practical action to establish an independent Palestinian state, as essential to achieve the desired security and peace for all.

Sayyid Badr said the Sultanate of Oman’s appreciated the position of the Slovenian government in support of the justice of the Palestinian cause and their call for a ceasefire and respect for the rules of international law.

The Minister also expressed his confidence in Slovenia's efforts and constructive endeavours given its current membership in the United Nations Security Council.
