Foreign Minister discusses Gaza with UK Foreign Secretary
Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, today held a conversation with James Cleverly, Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, about the situation in Gaza.
During the call Sayyid Badr spoke of the necessity of taking practical and tangible measures to stop the war on Gaza and to focus on opening humanitarian corridors to alleviate the catastrophe engulfing civilians in the Strip.
The Ministers exchanged views on the continued Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip and the rising civilian casualties.
They agreed on the need to respect international law, to end the cycle of violence and to affirm the position of the international community in achieving a comprehensive peace in accordance with the two-state solution.
During the call the Foreign Minister expressed Oman's condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces’ targeting of the Jabalia camp in the Gaza Strip, which led to the death and injury of hundreds of civilians.
He called on the UN Security Council to put an immediate end to the crisis and the inhumane Israeli actions against the Palestinian people.
