Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, held a telephone conversation with Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey.
The discussion focused on the development of regional and global positions towards Israel's brutal aggression and illegal siege of the Gaza Strip and the consequent danger of escalation in the region.
The Ministers agreed on the importance of intensifying political endeavours to calm the situation, to achieve a ceasefire and to resume humanitarian work to provide relief to the population in the Gaza Strip. They also agreed to support the voice of truth and justice for the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination.
Both Ministers stressed that Israel continues to violate the rules of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter; violations which require an immediate international response to address them by all available means and to hold Israel accountable.
