Foreign Minister discusses Gaza with Indian Foreign Minister

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi had a phone conversation this morning with Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of the Republic of India.

The Ministers reviewed the relations of cooperation and good neighbourliness between the two countries. They also coordinated on a number of initiatives of common interest.

The Ministers discussed the painful humanitarian situation and developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings.

They agreed on the necessity of providing for the humanitarian needs of the people of Gaza and on the importance of de-escalating the crisis, breaking the cycle of violence and terrorism from all parties.

They also agreed on advancing efforts to achieve a two-state solution, a just and comprehensive peace and ending the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories in accordance with international law.
