Foreign Minister discusses Gaza situation with Arab colleagues

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, held a series of telephone consultations with his counterparts in Arab countries.

The calls included discussions with Dr Ayman Al Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Jordan; Sameh Shoukry, Foreign Minister of Egypt; Nasser Bourita, Foreign Minister of  Morocco; and Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League.

The discussions saw an exchange of views on the developments in the tragic situation in Gaza.

There were also consultations on joint Arab action to urge the international community to exercise its responsibilities to stop acts of violence and destruction and prevent the further loss of civilian lives due to the continuing attacks on the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation forces.

The necessity of meeting the urgent humanitarian needs of the residents in Gaza was also emphasised.
