Foreign Minister discusses cooperation with Russian counterpart

Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi held a phone call with the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov.

The Minister expressed his sympathy and sent condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack on the Crocus Concert Hall in Moscow.

The Ministers discussed cooperation between Oman and Russia and ways to develop such cooperation.

They also touched upon the Israeli aggression in Gaza, efforts towards a ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip without restriction.

The Ministers also discussed Russia's recent hosting of a meeting of Palestinian factions in Moscow to unify and strengthen their ranks by achieving agreements between the various parties.

The Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation of Russia's support for legitimate Palestinian rights while the Russian Foreign Minister stressed his country’s support for a two-state solution and for an international conference to secure the requirements for a just and lasting peace.
