Foreign Minister conveys His Majesty's greetings to President of Lithuania
President Gitanas Nausėda of the Republic of Lithuania received today at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, Sayyid Badr conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Nausėda and the people of Lithuania.
For his part, the President expressed his deepest greetings and appreciation to His Majesty and his best wishes to His Majesty and the Omani people for further progress and development in the relations between the two friendly countries.
The meeting underscored the ties of friendship and cooperation between Oman and Lithuania stressing a shared keenness to promote them in various diplomatic, economic, cultural and scientific fields.
In appreciation of his efforts to promote and develop relations of cooperation and friendship between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Lithuania, the Lithuanian government awarded the “Commander’s Cross for Merits to Lithuania” to Sayyid Badr. The presentation was made by President Nausėda.
Sayyid Badr expressed his thanks and appreciation for being honoured with the high-ranking Lithuanian decoration, speaking of his aspiration to work tirelessly with his counterpart, the Lithuanian Foreign Minister, to continue developing and strengthening relations of cooperation and partnership between the two countries in many areas to bring benefits to the two friendly peoples.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khalid Al Muslahi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department; Boleta Senkiene, Oman's Honorary Consul in Lithuania and various officials from both sides.
