Minister confirms talks between United States and Iran to continue next week

Oman's Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, said the US-Iran talks in Muscat underlined the shared desire to reach an agreement based on mutual respect and lasting commitments.

The Minister added that the talks discussed basic principles, objectives and technical concerns. He said the talks will continue next week with a high-level meeting on May 3.

Dr Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, expressed his satisfaction with the pace of the third round of talks with the United States. He noted that both countries had shown seriousness and determination. He added that Oman will announce the venue for the fourth round of talks.
