Foreign Minister calls for reparations for Palestinian victims of Israeli war
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi has called for urgent reparations for Palestinians in Gaza for the loss of innocent lives and the destruction inflicted by the Israeli war on the Strip. He also spoke of the necessity of comprehensive collective and efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis facing the Palestinian people through deliveries of relief supplies by land.
In an interview with CNN's “Connect the World” with Becky Anderson, Sayyid Badr addressed the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, urging the international community to play a vital role in securing sustainable peace and taking swift actions to accomplish it. He said a unified and bold approach was urgently needed to put pressure on the Israelis to ensure relief is delivered in sufficient quantities.
The Minister also spoke of the escalating tensions in the Red Sea, emphasising the complexity of regional dynamics and the importance of engaging all parties in dialogue. He noted that genuine progress can only be achieved through courage to engage in dialogue with those holding strongly opposing views and opinions.
Sayyid Badr reaffirmed Oman's rejection of all violence and its commitment to peace and stability in the region and the broader international community. He urged world leaders and all parties to join concerted efforts to address these challenges directly, courageously, and convincingly.
