Foreign Minister at GCC – India Ministerial meeting
Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi participated in a joint ministerial meeting between the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India.
The meeting was held at the GCC Secretariat General headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and was chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar. It was also attended by the Foreign Ministers of the GCC member states and the GCC Secretary-General.
The meeting discussed Gulf-Indian cooperation and ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the GCC and India particularly in terms of economic, trade, and investment cooperation. They explored new opportunities contributing to sustainable growth. The meeting also reviewed regional and international developments and issues.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Oman's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia; Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Almaskari, Head of the GCC and Region Department and officials from the Foreign Ministry.
