Foreign Minister at GCC Brazil joint ministerial meeting

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi participated in the first joint ministerial meeting between the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and Mauro Vieira, Foreign Minister of the Federative Republic of Brazil.

The meeting, which took place today, at the GCC Secretariat General headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar. It was attended by the Foreign Ministers of the GCC member states and the GCC Secretary-General.

The meeting discussed opportunities for joint cooperation between the GCC countries and Brazil, aiming to expand collaboration across political, economic, investment, security and cultural fields. The participants also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Oman's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia; Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Almaskari, Head of the Foreign Ministry's Department for the GCC and Region; as well as officials from the Foreign Ministry.
