Foreign Minister and Algerian Foreign Minister discuss Gaza

Oman's Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, and Ahmed Attaf, Foreign Minister of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, discussed the situation in Gaza in a phone call this evening.

They shared their solidarity with the Palestinian people in their steadfastness in the face of humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip and the rest of the occupied territories facing Israeli occupation forces.

The Ministers agreed on the importance of escalating Arab, Islamic and global political pressure to stop the war and the aggression against defenceless children and civilians and to allow the delivery of humanitarian relief to meet their needs such as food, water, fuel and medicine.

The Ministers also stressed the importance of focusing on political solutions to resolve the Palestinian issue, emphasising the need for a fair and comprehensive peace based on international law, the goal of such a solution being to establish long-term security and stability in the region.
