Following His Majesty's instructions, two British citizens detained in Iran are released.

In accordance with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s directives on continuing endeavours with all countries, and with His Majesty’s blessing to respond to the request from the Government of the United Kingdom, the relevant authorities of the Sultanate of Oman cooperated and coordinated with the relevant authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United Kingdom for the release of two British citizens (Nazanin Zaghari Ratcliffe and Anoosheh Ashoori) who were held in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both persons arrived in Muscat today on board a flight by the Royal Air Force of Oman, in preparation for their safe return to the United Kingdom.
