Emir of Qatar receives Foreign Minister
His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, received in Doha this evening Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman.
During the meeting, Sayyid Badr conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Tamim Al Thani. His Majesty also sent his good wishes to His Highness and the brotherly Qatari people for continued growth and prosperity and for relations between the two countries to progress further.
For his part, His Highness expressed to Oman's Foreign Minister his greetings and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan and his good wishes to His Majesty and to the Omani people, as well as his wishes for further progress and development in the relations of the two countries
The cordial meeting emphasised the bonds of fraternal relations between the two countries and their keenness to strengthen them in various fields. There was also an exchange of views on issues of common interest, especially those related to Gulf affairs, within the framework of the Sultanate of Oman's presidency of the current session of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC).
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar and Najeeb bin Yahya Albalushi, Oman's Ambassador to Qatar.
